Summer in New London

  • Summer is the true essence of our town. There are activities for every one in the family! From hiking, tubing and boating to fishing and baseball at our historic stadium at Hatten Park! There is always something new to explore.

Boating and Fishing

Boating on the Wolf River is a top attraction in the New London Area. The river connects New London, Shawano, Fremont and Winneconne. Popular fish in this river are many varieties of panfish, large and smallmouth bass, musky, and trout. Watch this video for great info about the Wolf River Walleye Run! Float in on the river and set your lines in New London. Stop in at Johnny’s Little Shop of Bait for all your fishing supplies.

Looking for a great opportunity to become one with nature and see some awesome murals created by our local Wolf River Art League? You can use the kayak launch at Riverside Park and float your kayak or canoe down the Wolf and Embarrass Rivers through downtown New London for a relaxing, fun experience! Stop by our local businesses for a convenient meal or treat. Just another great reason why New London is your address for great opportunities. Check out our video here.

New London has many facilities for any sport. Play a game of baseball at Pfeifer Park, enjoy a round of disc golf or horseshoes at Hatten Park. Our parks have many sporting options to chose from for all sports lovers! We also have area golf courses to enjoy as well.
