Sturgeon Trail by New London CLOSED for 2020 Season
Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, Waupaca County has announced the Sturgeon Tail along County Highway X near New London will be closed during this year’s Sturgeon spawning run to prevent gathering of crowds. It will reopen when the run is complete.

Half mile long paved trail along the Wolf River, just west of New London on Highway X. It’s a great place for fishing or leisurely walks. The Mukwa Wildlife Area is on the opposite side of the road. Also, view Sturgeon up to 6 feet long, spawning for only a couple of days in early spring after the water temperatures have reached approximately 53°-59°F.
