The Little Wolf River near New London provides a spectacular natural setting for tubing and canoeing in the summer.

The Wolf River Trips and Campground at 920 982-2458 provides tube and canoe rentals for daily organized trips on the Little Wolf River.  Campground staff will shuttle you to a starting point up river.  You then leisurely float your way back down river to the campground beach.  During the ride you will travel through rapids, rocks, and calm waters.

Directions: Go west on Wolf River Avenue out of New London on County Trunk X about 4 miles to left on Flease Road just before the Little Wolf River bridge.  Visit their website | Directions / Maps

» Personal Canoeing

The (big) Wolf River and the Embarrass River above New London are enjoyed by some for personal canoeing.  Either trip can finish in downtown New London where you can dine or find more things to do.

The Embarrass River has a place just above New London where you can put in at Spurr Road [Map].  One local person reports the trip takes about 2 & 1/2 hours from there to New London.

Canoeing on the Wolf River beginning at the Buchman Access [Map] on County M and ending at Loss Park [Map] in New London is reported by locals to take at least 6 hours. See a satellite view.
